Sector Buy-Sell and Rotation Guide
العربيةLearn to compare sector direction, relative activity, timeframe, and breadth without confusing flow with a forecast.
A single stock can distract from what is happening across its sector. This page compares classified buying and selling activity by sector so you can choose where to investigate first. Check individual constituents next: a few large companies can dominate the sector summary.
What the page shows
| Field or control | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Sector | Groups related businesses, although individual stocks can move differently. |
| Buy and sell portions | Compare classified activity and hover to inspect the values. |
| Percentage bars | The normalized view compares the balance within each sector. Equal-looking bars need not represent equal dollar activity. |
| Period | Choose the available day, multi-day, week, or month period, comparing sectors over the same window. |
| Reset | Returns the chart to its default selection; wait for the updated chart before reading it. |
Recommended workflow
- Choose the horizon relevant to the intended trade.
- Compare several sectors rather than reading one value alone.
- Check whether leadership is broad across constituents or driven by a few large names.
- Open representative symbols and compare price, volume, news, and block-volume context.
- Recheck after index rebalancing, macro releases, and session changes.
How to interpret the result
- Relative leadership is different from an absolute bullish signal.
- Concentrated activity in a few mega-cap names can distort the group view.
- Rotation can be fast and mean-reverting on short windows.
Common mistakes
- Comparing windows of different lengths.
- Assuming every constituent follows the sector aggregate.
- Ignoring market-cap concentration and macro catalysts.

Broad participation or one large contributor?
Compare several stocks from an interesting sector rather than only its largest company. Check whether the activity persists across periods and agrees with price, or comes mainly from one trade or event.
Page components explained
Compare sector activity
Compare the sectors' shares of the displayed volume and use the available selection controls to focus the view. Volume concentration describes activity, not necessarily buying or rising prices.
Language
Use the flag to switch the interface language. Check the currency shown on subscription and payment pages after changing language; trading symbols keep their original spelling.
Light and dark mode
Choose the appearance that makes text and chart details comfortable to read. Changing the theme affects the display, not the underlying data or signals.
Page layout
Use this control to change the available page layout. It changes how much space the interface uses, not the meaning of the displayed values.

In the signed-in app, expand the site to gain more room for charts and tables. Use the control again or Escape to leave browser fullscreen.
